A Short introduction of myself

A short background of myself before I could continue this journey with you. My name is Janet and I was born in India and we were a large family of 5 brothers and sisters growing in a developing nation was tough however, having a strong family that cared made me a person I am proud . 

My ambition in life was to be a teacher and I started young as a teacher in India teaching primary school's while I continued my education in this field. I moved to Finland in early 2001 as my husband found a job in the Telecom industry here. My elder son was 6 months when we landed here and as I write this blog I am a proud mother a Finnish soldier and my daughter who is 14 is studying in the 8th grade in EIS. I myself have the honor of being part of an elite group of teachers in EIS and presently the class teacher of 4th graders who I am immensely proud of . My passion has been engaging young minds and supporting and enabling to learn and innovate as their young minds find their way in this world. I also enjoy playing sports and currently playing for the Cricket Finland National team and during my school days was a field hockey player. The journey to my education has been long and a lot of hard work has gone into being what I am today a teacher. 

About the Course

This course gave me an opportunity to enhance my knowledge in this field and the subject of special education has been my area of focus. This task of gathering information has been challenging for me for multiple reasons and I still undertook this because of the encouragement and support of my family and colleagues at work. I had to organize multiple calls during the unprecedented Corona pandemics the world is facing. However, I am thankful to my colleague Ms. XYY who helped me a lot during this process. I contact Ms. XYX from the School XYZ and I was allowed to visit the school and here are a few of my observations and feedback from my visits. I have made my observation and categorized them for each of my four visits to the school.
